Ivar's...a Northwest Tradition that began in 1938 on the Seattle Waterfront when Ivar Haglund opened Seattle's first aquarium. Ivar realized the aquarium visitors would get hungry during their visits and offered them fish'n'chips. Thus began what is nearly 60 years later, Ivar's seafood restaurants.
Today our family of restaurants consists of a distinguished trio of waterfront dining establishments and 31 seafood bars from Portland, Oregon to Bellingham, Washington and east to Spokane. We operate two food booths at Safeco Field.
We produce our award-winning chowders, tartar and cocktail sauces in our secret USDA certified kitchen for wholesale and retail customers.
Ivar's remains, after 62 years, the Northwest's favorite seafood.
